Preface: For my grandniece Sophia's 4th birthday, I sent her a Palomino Plush Horse Pony "Lightning" which Wells Fargo Bank gave me for opening a new account with them. Some months later, I bought a book at Los Altos Library Magic Hoofbeats: Horse Tales from Many Lands by Joseph Sherman and illustrated by Linda Wingerter. I mailed it with the web page of five petal flowers for Sophia's 5th birthday. It occured to me that I had taken several photos of horses for a friend who's doing a horse sculpture. The first was at the Safeway sphagetti sauce shelf where Gina Rispoli Vodka Sauce bottle showed a statue of Roman soldier on a horse. While hiking at Calero County Park on May 27, 2012, two horses were in the parking lot. The owners told me that the brown horse was a wild mustang that was tamed the last two years. The owner of the white Pinto horse told him to look my way when I clicked my camera. While on the Figueroa Trail, I snapped photos of three horses on a farm. On May 31, when passing by Restoration Hardware (281 University Avenue, Palo Alto), there was a wooden Horse Sculpture in the window. I snapped a photo and then went inside to take some more without the reflections. The proprietor told me that they have another horse head on their web site. Below are these horses I've rounded up for the month of May.
