Lightness

Imagine lightness—
a grain of sand
a leaf from a tree
a drop of rain
a snowflake
a puff of smoke
a sparkling firefly
a bird in flight
a bubble afloat
a murmer, a sigh
a smile of joy
a flash of insight
yet something
even lighter
not experienced
until you die—
you're bodiless
and weightless
matter into energy
faster than them all
lightness itself—
a pure ray of light.
