My root is in the Infinite
Springing from the Eternal Tao
You may ask me how do I know—
My great grandfather told me so!

A divine spark must have illumined his mind
When he inscribed with care that poetic line:
"The Tao of Virtue Grants the Light of Bliss"
On the scroll of time— the Cosmic Abyss.

A sacred word for each of our middle name
Linking each of our soul to whence we came.
Thus my grandfather was named Tao
That nameless Name which is Here-and-Now.

My father received the name Te or virtue
And he taught me to be sincere and true.
My middle name Yuin signifies to grant
Something inspiring that I hope will enchant

This world from its temporal & finite dreams
To that timeless realm— the Infinite Supreme.
My children shall be called Kuang or Light
So they'll experience the glorious delight

When naming their children Hsiang or bliss.
My great grandfather envisioned all of this
When he planted the seed of our family tree
Filled with fruits that will make us free.
