Nature Walks 2008: Table of Contents

Fir Cove: Lakeside Redwood stumps, Loch Lomond, Felton, Santa Cruz, California

I sit at the computer too much— bookmarking interesting articles from the New York Times and stories on enlightenment, typing up Stanford lectures, gathering inspiring passages from my favorite poets and philosophers, researching the fascinating topics of dates and numbers, and sharing insights that inspire us to illumination. My friends have tried to get me away from the computers and explore nature more. Here are a dozen hikes from 2008. I'm sharing the photos taken on these excursions as well as haiku poems inspired on the occasion. I've also included "Leonardo: 500 Years into the Future" as this exhibit tour may be regarded as a hike in the imagination. (Peter Y. Chou, WisdomPortal.com)
