Two Cooper's Hawk on Bench near Mailboxes at Paulson Park Apartments

Two Cooper's Hawks on the Bench It's near sunset when I walk to my mailbox at Paulson Park. Surprise!— two Cooper's Hawks are sitting serenely on the bench. I tiptoe slowly to my mailbox so they won't fly away. I've seen these beautiful raptors soaring while hiking on trails. But this is the first time they're so close to the ground. Are they taking a rest from their long flights in the sky? Are they hunting for rabbits or squirrels for their dinner? I rush back to my apartment for my camera to take photos but when I come back, they're gone, however my memory persists so I found Cooper's Hawks photos in Google Images on the web reassembling them in Photoshop to preserve that precious moment.   Peter Y.
