A Wrinkle in Time

Zap map! Flap gap! Clap rap! Tap sap!
Chant mantra— in a flash you're there!
Twinkle of an eye— no stairs to climb,
Tesseract— a wrinkle in time!

Galaxies faraway brought near—
Science miracles instead of prayer.
Forces of evil, knights must fight—
defending Earth— Warriors of Light.

Buddha, Euclid, St. Francis, Jesus,
Pasteur, Shakespeare, Copernicus,
Beethoven, Einstein, Leonardo,
Bach, Curie, and Michelangelo.

Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Which, Mrs. Who—
good witches— Hoot! Whoo! Whoo!
help Meg rescue her Dad on a planet
faraway that's dark, wicked, and bad.

Need a pure heart of love and will sing
with Light Warriors to fight Black Thing;
To ward off Evil, must have wings—
See stars twinkle, hear bells that ring.

Meg's heart is noble, loving, and kind—
didn't want to leave her brother behind;
Evil IT has hate, Love Meg has got—
She has what the Black Thing has not!

Charles Wallace was under evil spell,
Meg must get him out of this hell—
"I love you. I love you." she cried—
that's how she turned the evil tide.

Meg's relentless loving touches pried
Charles away from Evil's dark clutches.
Despite faraway places they roamed—
everyone came back safely at home.
