National Geographic sent email
on November 2 at 11:10 am—
"Photos of the Century" with
dozens of historical images.

Statue of Liberty's construction,
Hitler and Nazis rise to power,
Hindenburg disaster at Lakehurst.
Man's first landing on the Moon.

Many interesting iconic photos,
but the only one I've downloaded
is Audrey Hepburn shopping in a
grocery store with her pet deer Ip.

Most movie stars have servants doing
grocery shopping chores, & food stores
don't allow dogs and cats inside— but
exception made for Audrey Hepburn.

Here she is with her pet fawn Ip,
shopping cart by her side, kneeling
near the floor, examining contents
in a box of Honey Graham crackers.

Audrey met the fawn Pippin when
filming "Green Mansions" directed
by her husband Mel Ferrer in 1959
based on William Hudson's novel

of Rima, a jungle girl in tune
with wildlife. The animal trainer
let Audrey take Pippin home so she
will be accustomed with wild animals.

Audrey & Pippin bonded in no time,
even sleeping together cuddling—
That's why her pet fawn followed
her shopping in a grocery store.
