Dog Selects a Treat

Dog Selects Left Cup

Left Cup Has One Treat:

2-Card Monte played with his dog
switching around two cups with treats.
Dog selects cup on his left side
and is fed the one candy inside.

Cup not chosen has a dozen treats
and dog appears somewhat disgusted,
so he spits out the one treat offered.
Many finds this video funny— Why?

The dog's reaction is similar
to human behavior as most
want something "Bigger and Better"
like the story in Grimm's Fairy Tale

The Fisherman and His Wife
After catching a fish that was a prince,
the fisherman threw it back into the sea,
his wife wants the fish to grant her a wish—

a cottage instead of their hovel,
husband goes back to the sea and
fish says it's done— nice cottage with
garden of fruit trees for their pleasure.

Wife not satisfied and wants a mansion,
then to be a king, then emperor, and
pope with palace & servants— all her
wishes granted— "Bigger and Better".

Then she wants to control the heavens
but found herself back in her hovel—
Lesson of wanting what we have not
and not joyful of what we have got.

I'll have what's smaller and content
with peace of mind and tranquillity—
the path of a sage living a life
filled with grace and blessings.
