The tree drinks nectar
from the sun's golden rays
flowing through its branches.

Rap, rap— Woodpecker
hard at work— hundred
of acorns stored for winter.

Upright yellow leaf like
Platonic Lambda Λ—
"Soul of the Universe".

Misty morning by the bridge—
Monet would love it here
to paint this scene.

Patterns swirl in old tree trunk—
Hidden ghost eyes are
spooking right at us.

Too cold out there—
the millipede is all
curled up into a spiral.

A red-tailed hawk soaring
high above and singing
"Spring is coming soon!"

Not warm for poppies
to open— but a radiant
Queen Poppy is shining!
