Went to Sun Yat-sen University in Kaohsiung
and School of the Deaf in Tainan, and now
we're in Taichung's TV Station where they're
taping a popular program "The Bachelorettes".
The emcee said: "We're honored to have the
1988 National Education Delegates with us.
Is there a bachelor among you folks?"
They are pushing me forward and
suddenly I'm on stage with floodlights.
Seeing my name tag, the emcee said
"Dr. Chou from Palo Alto, your zipcode
is one of the richest city in America."
I protested "I'm not a doctor but a former
biochemist, unemployed & writing poetry."
They've heard not a word I've said, as those
bachelorette get a green card if they marry me.
One of the bachelorette has me in her arms
and the other two are elbowing for their turn.
The delegates and audience are applauding—
and that's how I won myself a Taiwanese wife!
