Dad and I visited the Paris Opera House, and I took some dozen photos of Dad standing in front of the statues of Bach, Haydn, Charles Garnier, two cherubs, and a sign "Poesie Lyrique" on the Opera House. Then Dad snapped a photo of me in front of the Opera House, and I of him. A Frenchman who emerged from the Opera Metro Station offered to snap a photo of us together. I thanked him "Merci beaucoup" and Dad told him that he had studied here 50 years ago at the Sorbonne. He said, "I hope the picture comes out well." It did— it's the only photo of Dad and me together during that wonderful two weeks in Paris.
