Preface: On Friday, September 9, 2011, a friend and I walked to Lake Lagunita
on the Stanford campus (5:30-6:00 pm). On our five visits from April 1 to May 27, 2011,
the Lake's water dwindled each time.
However we were entertained by the Snowy Egret's presence each time. On
April 29, 2011,
we spotted two bush rabbits off the main trail. On
June 22, 2011,
most of the Lake's water were gone, but the long-ear hare had returned, and I was lucky to photographed
it when it stopped. This time, no egret, hare, or bush rabbits were sighted. However,
I did photograph a small bird when it rested on a fencetop. Took photos of California Live Oaks
that the hare hopped out on previous occasions.
