Anita's Hummingbirds Photographed on Patio, 2014 |
Preface: A hummingbird hovered over a starflower bush outside my window
on December 15, 2013 that inspired the poem "Blossoming Blessings".
My friend Anita enjoyed the poem and sent me an email on April 19 sharing seven wonderful photos of a hummingbird that built a nest in a Camellia bush on her patio. She laid two eggs and raised two chicks. They flew away on Day 23. The hummingbird could be the chick that hatched from last year that also flew away on Day 23. That's why she was not afraid when Anita took photos from 3-4 feet away. Sharing photos & titles from Anita below. |
