Memories of Mom: Yvonne Liu Chou (1908-2005)

Mom in New York, 1958
While Dad was a scholar, busy at work in the UN, teaching at universities, and reading in libraries, Mom kept the engine running in our household, working, cooking, gardening, shopping, and sewing. She carried a huge correspondence with friends and relatives in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and the United States that ran into the thousands over the years. In these web pages, I'm sharing our fond memories of a remarkable human being whose love, kindness, and generosity has touched the lives of so many people.
