Aleister Crowley
Occultist helping Hitler?

Preface: When reading Louis Pauwels & Jacques Bergier's The Morning of the Magicians (1968), there was a chapter on Hitler and the Nazis using occult knowledge in winning World War II, that I never read in history books.
Adolf Hitler is listed as the most evil man in the world. The British press dubbed occultist Aleister Crowley "The Wickedest Man in the World". Hemingway in A Moveable Feast wrote "That's Aleister Crowley, the diabolist. He's supposed to be the wickedest man in the world." Since Hitler was interested in the occult, did these two evil men get together? Crowley's mentor at the secret society Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn (1887-1903) was the Buddhist Allan Bennett. Crowley witnessed Bennett levitating. He also saw Bennett's magical wand made out of glass, that paralyzed an unbeliever for 14 hours on touching him. During my visit to sage Paul Brunton in Vevey, Switzerland (Aug. 31-Sept. 2, 1979), he spent an afternoon telling me about his first spiritual mentor in London at 19— Allan Bennett aka Ananda Metteyya. PB said Bennett invented a rod that could destroy the world. I said the Manhattan Project that created the Atomic Bomb destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki, but not the whole world. But PB said Bennett's rod was more powerful than the A-Bomb. He suggested I read fairy tales on magic wands, whose art has been lost to us. Of course Hitler would like to possess such a rod. Would Crowley tell him the secret?

V-2 Rockets
V-2 Rocket: was the world's first long-range guided ballistic missile, powered by a liquid-propellant rocket engine, developed during World War II in Germany. First V-2 rocket was launched on 20 June 1944. Graduate student Wernher von Braun developed the V-2. Over 3,000 V-2s were launched, first London and later Antwerp and Liège. resulted in deaths of 9,000 civilians and military personnel. The rockets travelled at supersonic speed, arrived without warning, and there was no effective defence against them.

A-Bomb Blast
German Nuclear Weapons Program: German chemist Otto Hahn detected & identified barium after bombarding uranium with neutrons. Published in Naturwissenschaften (1-6-1939). His friend Lise Meitner, who had fled Germany in July to the Netherlands, confirmed it as "nuclear fission". German's Uranium Club expanded into three main efforts: the nuclear reactor, uranium and heavy water production, and uranium isotope separation. Eventually it was assessed that nuclear fission would not contribute significantly to ending the war.

Spear of Destiny
by Trevor Ravenscroft
Spear of Destiny: a book published by Trevor Ravenscroft (1972). Young Adolf Hitler seeing Spear of Longinus that pierced Jesus at the Crucifixion at Hofburg Museum in Vienna had an awakening when he heard "whoever possessed the Spear will rule the world". Nazis conquered Austria (3-12-1938). SS squad's first port of call was Hofburg Museum, resting place of Spear of Destiny, brought back to Nuremberg Castle, with Charlemagne's Imperial Orb and regalia. During World War II, they were stored for protection from air raids in the Historischer Kunstbunker beneath Nuremberg Castle. In 1945 the imperial regalia were found there by U.S, soldiers and were brought back in 1946 to the Hofburg in Vienna.

Nazi Antarctic
Seal 1938-1939
German Antarctic Expedition (1938-1939): was led by Alfred Ritscher, a captain in the German Navy. Main purpose was to find an area in Antarctica for a German whaling station, to increase production of fat. Whale oil was then the most important raw material for production of margarine and soap in Germany, who was the second largest purchaser of Norwegian whale oil, importing 200,000 metric tonnes annually. Another goal was to scout possible locations for a German naval base. Rumors: German subs & UFOs.

Golem
Golem: In Jewish folklore, a golem is an animated anthropomorphic being that is created entirely from inanimate matter (usually clay or mud). It is an amorphous, unformed material in Psalms and medieval writing. Most famous golem involves Judah Loew ben Bezalel, late-16th-century rabbi of Prague. He brought the golem to life and controlled it. Recent legend tells of a Nazi agent ascending to synagogue attic during WW II and trying to stab the Golem, but he died instead. Golem is a big help in battlefields.

Zodiac & Swastika
by Wilhelm Wulff
Zodiac and Swastika: How Astrology Guided Hitler's Germany: is a 1968 book by Wilhelm Theodor H. Wulff (1892-1979). Published in 1973 in U.S. by Coward, McCann & Geoghegan and in United Kingdom by Arthur Barker Limited of London. English edition has a foreword by historian Walter Laqueur. Historian Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke takes the book as evidence that Wulff was consulted by Heinrich Himmler in the last weeks of the war. Wulff claims that Arthur Nebe and Walter Schellenberg had assigned him various astrological tasks. He also mentions that they had used pendulum dowsers like Ludwig Straniak for similar purposes. Read in The Morning of the Magicians that Churchill warned FDR about the Nazi use of astrology in their battle plans.

Magic Wand
Rod to Destroy the World: On my visit to Paul Brunton in Vevey, Switzerland (Aug. 31-Sept. 2, 1979), he had a portrait of Allan Bennett aka Ananda Metteyya on his desk. PB was quite reverent telling me about his first spiritual mentor at 19 in London. Bennett was a chemist and almost got the patent to cinema sound. Bennett invented a rod that could destroy the world. I was skeptical, mentioning the Manhattan Project that produced the A-Bomb that destroyed two cities but not the world. PB said Bennett's rod was more powerful, & told me to read fairy tales on magic wands, whose art has been lost to us.
