Mountain View: Ann came to my apt at 3:00 pm,
drove to Los Altos Library to pick up two books;
"Daily Post" all gone at Chef Chu's news bins;
then to Valero Gas Station for "Daily Post"

Mountain View: My smoke alarm buzzed "Tweet Tweet"
all night (running low on batteries); Put cottonballs
in my ears; hard to get peaceful sleep; Phoned office
& apt emergency for maintenance to fix noisy problem

Bryan Velasquez, the new Maintenance tech
came over and placed a new smoke alarm
that will be less noisy when batteries run low.

Went through "At Age 44" in "Tolstoy's Bicycle"
and linked to 45 people with things done at 44—

Mountain View: Late dinner: P.F. Chang's Shrimp Lo-Mein;
Didn't need 5 tbsp canola oil for 10-minutes stir-fry;
sauce and oil in the package were sufficient

To absorb extra oil, added diced Bok Choy,
3 large radishes, imitation crabmeat chunks,
whole cashews and half-pieces of walnuts.
