Preface: Around 1990 when I was taking "Journal Writing" with Nina Holzer at Foothill College, she took the class on an outing to a Redwood Grove in Los Altos. It was indeed a treat to find this quiet and scenic oasis so close by in town. Ten years later (June 2000), I took a friend here and the neighboring Shoup Park for a walk which she enjoyed. Today, another friend drove me here for my birthday walk after our lunch at Hometown Buffet. I took 35 photos and had to brighten some in Photoshop because the redwoods blocked off sunlight. The haikus were written a week later. Time of photos recorded with digital Canon camera.
