Preface: Stanford Green Library was closed on Sunday after their Summer Quarter on August 16 to September 20. So it was a chance to get away from the computer and go hiking and enjoy the vistas of Nature. My friend took me to Memorial Park in San Mateo County on five occasions where we covered almost all the trails. Today we went hiking on the east side to Pescadero Creek County Park. With 5700 acres, this is by far San Mateo County's largest park. The redwoods here are not as gigantic as those in Memorial Park, nevertheless the mostly shady trails were quite scenic and enjoyable. Hike took five hours (1:43 pm-6:45 pm). Below are photos and haikus written after the hike. (Bay Area Hiker; Park Map)
