| Preface: This is the third hike in Thomas McCarthy's Day Hike Class (PHED 23B) at Foothill College. A friend gave me a ride to today's hike at Wunderlich Park (Map), 4040 Woodside Road, Woodside. Hiked here sometime in 2001 with two friends. On July 28, 2013, hiked on the Skyline Trail entering at Bear Gulch Road and saw a Wunderlich Park signpost. Today, the instructor asked me to take a group photo of our class before the hike. We went on the Alambique Trail, following the sign to Alambique Flat (Elevation 1230 feet). Then we descended on the Oak Trail, Meadow Trail, & Alambique Trail, 2.1 miles to the Parking Lot Entrance. The 4-mile hike took almost three hours (1-3:50 pm). No wildflowers were encountered on today's hike, but there were more varieties of trees— California Black Oaks, California Live Oaks, Redwoods, Douglas Firs, Bay Trees, Eucalyptus, and Madrones.
