| Preface: Waverley Writers Poetry Reading is the first Friday each month. The October 1 gathering featured four poets from South Asia that appeared in the recent book "Indivisible" (An Anthology of Contemporary South Asian American Poetry). Usually I come here from Stanford, but today I took Bus #35 from Mountain View, and got off at Middlefield Road and Colorado Avenue. It was around 6:45 pm, plenty of time to walk to the Friends House at 957 Colorado Avenue in time for the reading. I noticed the sunset clouds and used my Canon PowerShot A590IS digital camera to record some colorful orange clouds. Then passing by 757 Colorado Avenue, I saw a house with a yard that resembled an Enchanted Forest or the Garden of Earthly Delight. Here are the photos taken between 6:48 and 7:07 pm. Since the sun was setting, I had to brighten most photos in Adobe Photoshop— Children will have a treat coming here on Halloween! |
