El Corte de Madera 2010 Hike North Leaf Trail San Mateo, California

| Preface: With Stanford Green Library closed on Sundays during Summer Intersession, my friend took me hiking at El Corte de Madera via the North Leaf Trail on August 22, 2010. We came here on July 4, 2010, walking down Star Hill Road to the CM10 Gate Entrance. Hiking on Virginia Mill Trail, we ended up on the rugged South Leaf Trail. On September 27, 2009, we hiked on the Methusaleh Trail at El Corte de Madera starting at CM08 Gate. On September 7, 2008, we hiked at El Corte de Madera starting at CM04 Gate Entrance. Since there are 36 miles of trails at El Corte de Madera Creek, we never tried the North Leaf Trail. There were many Redwoods and Madrones so this hike was more scenic than the South Leaf Trail. On September 2, 2010, my 4 GB Centron SDHC camera chip got mysteriously damaged at Stanford Art Library, and I lost over 1000 photos . Finally, on October 12, Enrique at ClickAway, Los Altos, recovered 1358 files for $29.99 flat fee using Card Rescue. So I'm sharing 85 photos from the North Leaf Trail hike two months late. |
