Preface: Stanford Theatre (221 University Ave, Palo Alto) is my favorite place to see classical movies. I've seen hundreds of movies here. Some previous movies include 50th Anniversary of Hitchcock's "Vertigo" (2008), James Stewart Film Festival (2019), and Movies of 1939 Festival (2019-2020). After showing Kurosawa's "Rashomon" & "Stray Dog" (Feb. 23, 2020), Stanford Theatre closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. So it was delight that it re-opened 2.4 years later on July 9, 2022 showing Fred & Ginger movies "The Gay Divorcee" and "Top Hat". I went to the crowded Grand Re-opening, and have been enjoying these movies that I've seen many times before. The photos below include the Stanford Theatre's Marquee, Photos & Poster from the Display Window, Lobby Display, and Display Cases in Memorabilia Room. After last showing of Kurosawa's "Ran" (Sept. 16), Stanford Theatre extended their program
by showing three more movies— "Seven Samurai" (Sept. 17-18), "The Apartment" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (Sept. 22-25).
