there are 3 horizontal images, and 5 vertical
images in this poem. Couldn't import
2nd image without replacing 1st image.
Combined the 3 images in Photoshop
as one image (579x218 pixels) and tried again.
Inserted "Three 42nd Street Photos" & pasted
text below. Did the same for "5 vertical images".
Also typed title above photo.
Printed in Chrome Browser @ 100%.

3. Google Translation & Voice Typing (Nov. 6, 2022)
On Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in the LINC-405 "Skills Workshop" (6:00-6:30 pm),
William Cavada showed how to use Voice Typing (Works in Chrome but not in Safari browser).
He did a Language Translation (English to Esperanto), & Citations. I selected my recent poem
"Dog Selects a Treat" (10-30-2022), and made a translation from English to French. 20 errors (bold)
made in voice translation. Made line breaks (BR) after each line and each stanza. Quote and unquote
("") not registered in 4 cases. Many capitalized words not rendered as well as dashes (—). Translation
not made with voice typing because of so many errors. On Nov. 2's Zoom Session of LINC-405,
Gene Tognetti helped me find the Microphone for Voice Typing to complete this assignment.

Gene Tognetti showed placing videos in Google Slides on LINC-405 Zoom class (Nov. 2): "Jack Bruce concert" (Christmas 2002) & his video "Seagull & Boat in Monterey" (not online). I placed videos of conductors performing Beethoven's 5th Symphony— Arturo Toscanni, Leonard Bernstein, Eugene Ormandy, Seiji Ozawa, Herbert von Karajan, and Gustavo Dudamel. For Citations, I've linked to Beethoven's 5th Symphony (1808) and my 2009 poem and Notes elucidating Beethoven's most famous notes "dun-dun-dun-DUN!" telling us to "Wake Up" to our Higher Consciousness.

5. Google Drawings— Poem: "Rhino Awakens Dog" (Nov. 22, 2022)

On Nov. 16, 2022, 6:00-6:30 pm, in LINC-405 Zoom class Skills Workshop, William Cavada showed how to import photo and text in Google Drawings. the photo was a symphony orchestra (name unknown). After importing text, he showed how to center the text, use various fonts with different size pixels. Wrote a poem "Rhino Awakens Dog" in html (11-20-2022) after watching a humorous video from Nepal. Replicated this in Google Drawings. Imported 5 photos of Rhino-Dog encounter, centered text below each photo. Poem had yellow background. "Clear formatting" in Format menu, made it white.

6. Shark Photos in Google Slides (Nov. 30, 2022)

On November 30, 2022, 6:15-7:05 pm, in LINC-405 Zoom class Skills Workshop plus Q&A Session with Kim Randall,
she showed how to format elongated documents (14"x17") in Google Drawings. Gene Tognetti joined the Q&A Session (6:30-7:05 pm). Kim then imported some of her underwater shark photography she did in the Maldive Islands with a friend. Unfortunately, her beautiful nature photography are invisible at her web sites. I managed to retrieve a polka-dotted whale shark photo on her Facebook site. On Sunday, July 18, 2021, Mercury News printed a picturesque article "Big Fish" by Kurt Snibee. I've bookmarked these large fish according to their weight in my Numbers collection. I've rounded up seven shark photos with texts for a web page in HTML and replicated it in Google Slides for Assignment #6.

7. Inserting Tables in Google Slides (December 7, 2022)

On Dec. 7, 2022, 6:00-6:30 pm, in LINC-405 Zoom class Skills Workshop with Gene Tognetti, he showed how to insert Tables in Google Docus & Google Slides. He made Table 3x3 columns: Moon Phases, Full Moon, Half Moon, Quarter Moon, centering text & images in each box. Imported images from the web Quarter Moon; Half Moon; Full Moon. Stanford Theatre was closed for 2.4 years during the COVID-19 pandemic. When it re-opened on July 9, 2002, I went to see the old classic films. Have 12 photos of movie marquees to place in center column of the Table. Will gather my notes from Haikus written after seeing each movie on directors, casts, film reviews, & YouTube videos of highlights. Do this first in HTML, then replicate it in Google Slides. Sharing Files in Google Drive (December 18, 2022) On Dec. 14, 2022, 6:00-6:30 pm, in LINC-405 Zoom class Skills Workshop with William Cavada, he showed how to share files in Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Sheets, Google Forms, and Google Drawings, Share Files: Restricted, Students in Class, Anyone with the Link (Preferred), Instructor, Editor (can change file), Commentator & Viewer (can't change), Instructors Gene Tognetti, Kim Randall. Do this first in HTML, then replicate it in Google Drive for Assignment #8. Since the tape recording of Cavada's Skills Workshop on "Sharing Files in Google Drive" has not been posted yet, I've proceeded to complete Assignment #8 based on the memory what he taught that day. Took screen shots of "Movie Tables in Google Slides". Cavada said click on the "Share Button" at top right. A screen appears of People with Access to your Files. Decide level of access— Editor, Commentator, Viewer.
