Preface:
October 18, 2018 is my Cornell Professor Harold A. Scheraga's 97th birthday. I designed
a web page birthday card for him each year, and also compile web pages with links
on "Numbers" as part of my "Numbers Dictionary".
Began on Sept. 18 and finished on Oct.12— 25 days to compose "On Number 97" with 220
items in 32 pages. Fine tuned many pages so none of photos are cropped. "On Number 97" (32 pages) with cover, preface, "Meditations on 97" poem and Notes were inserted in spine to form a booklet. Sent Mangelsen's "December Deer" card with "Happy 97th Birthday" pages to Prof. Scheraga @ 85% (exactly 1 ounce). Mailed it at Los Altos Post Office, 221 Main Street (9:40 am). Vincente stamped "October 18, 2018, Los Altos, CA" for Scheraga's 97th birthday. My 32-pages booklet "On Number 97" was mailed at book rate for $2.66. Shop windows on Main Street had Halloween displays which were photographed below (9:58-10:55 am). Took 11:07 am Bus #40 near Los Altos Library to Foothill College 11:14 am. |
