| Preface: On Monday, February 27, 2017, I went to Foothill College Krause Center and scanned Thomas D. Mangelsenn's "Eagle Among the Glaciers" (2006) for Elisa's 40th Birthday card (1:20 pm). Printed Happy Birthday Elisa at Los Altos Library (3:35 pm); and mailed it at Los Altos Post Office, 221 Main Street (4:06 pm). The Post Office clerk Vincente said my mail to Elisa weighed exactly 1.00 ounce, and stamped the Indiana Statehood Sunset stamp— "Feb. 27, 2017, Los Altos, CA" for her 40th birthday. While I walked down Main Street, there were several shop windows with interesting displays which were photographed below. |
