| Preface: Foothill College Krause Center closes at 4:30 pm on Saturdays. My friend Jack was at the Computer Lab and gave me a ride home. Since Spring Equinox is just two days away, I walked around Paulson Park between 5:08 and 5:32 pm (sunset: 7:19 pm), taking photos of flowers. While assembling this web page, I learned that Paulson Park was named after Boyd Paulson (1946-2005), Professor of civil engineering at Stanford, and advocate for affordable housing in the Bay Area. I came across the White Calla Lilies during my walk around Rengstorff Park (1-16-2017), that were identified in my flower books. Google Images were helpful in finding names of Houseleek (yellow conical Platonic Lambda), Rose White Star, White Daisies, Yuletide Camellia, Gerbera Daisies, and Sunflower with black center. Three photos from March 20 were added— Two Redbud Trees Blooming, Heart-Shaped Redbud Leaves, & Pepper Tree Trimmed. The latter photo was taken at 2:13 pm (3-20) when three trucks from West Coast Arborists spent an hour trimming a giantic Pepper Tree whose 40-foot limb with its branches and leaves arched almost across the street at Hackett Avenue. More photos include Bird on my neighbor's porch (April 2) and additional flowers (April 13). |
