Preface:
On Sunday, February 3, 2019, Al Guzman picked me up at 7:30 am in Mountain View.
Al drove to Richmond to see Felix Oseguera at Whins Court. I've not seen Felix
in two years and was excited in going. Felix helped me move with Al & Rudy Perez
on December 31, 2011 from my studio apartment on Latham Street to
one bedroom apartment at Pamela Drive. Thanks to his efficient organizing,
we got the job done on time. While Felix & Al went to a local church sermon,
Felix put on "Bright" film (2017)
from his Netflix on his 70"-wide TV screen for me to watch. Film was directed by
David Ayer, starring
Will Smith &
Joel Edgerton.
These two Los Angeles policemen rescued Tikka
(Lucy Fry), a Bright elf
who possesses powerful magic wand
that the police, federal agents, & Inferni wanted. When Bright was over,
the film Polar followed.
Duncan (Mads Mikkelsen) will
collect $8 million in pension when he retires in 14 days. But boss Mr. Blut kills
his assassins before they collect. Saw 15 minutes of this thriller, when Al & Felix returned
from church. Felix drove us to
The
Red Onion (2870 Pinole Valley Road), where Al treated me for breakfast. We returned to Felix's house
and watched Icarus (2017),
that won the 2018 Oscar for Documentary Feature. The cyclist Brian Fogel was
given steroids by Russian doping doctor Grigory Rodchenko, that escaped Olympic committee's
WADA testing. Watched an
hour of this documentary, when Al said we should leave at 3:15 pm, if I want to make the 5:10 pm
showing of "Chess Player" on time. Thanked Felix for his hospitality, and gave him my poems
"Happy Monday!"

Luckily, the traffic was modest and Al dropped me off at Ramona Street, a block from Stanford Theatre at 4:40 pm. Took five photos in the car of a giant rainbow (3:24-3:29 pm) as the sun came out when it was raining. Source of photos not taken by me are noted by (*). |
