Platonic Lambda Λ Pepper Tree
Montebello Ave, Mountain View

Preface: Each day I take Bus #40 from Mountain View to Foothill College in Los Altos Hills. I spend the day (9:30 am-7:30 pm) at Krause Center to use the Mac computer, working on my web site WisdomPortal.com. Write two haikus on my daily activities, poems, and bookmark interesting articles on enlightenment and poetry. Rounded up photos of streets along the way from Hackett Ave to Jane Lane where I board the bus. It's a brisk 20-minutes walk. Along Montebello Ave, there are many trees where I pay homage and seek their blessings. To the Eucalyptus bearing the "Three Graces": May you bless me with beauty & civility, and may the Trinity unfold the mysteries of life to share with others." To the Ginkgo Biloba: May your fan-like leaves inspire me like Shelley and Goethe with "Spirit of the Wind" in my poetry.". To the "Sentinel" Redwood: Bless me with longevity, durability, strength, and wisdom." To the "Three Good Witches" Ginkgos: "Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, Mrs. Which from "A Wrinkle in Time" bless me with Love & Truth in this life and always." To the "Lion of Courage" Pepper Tree, I place my hand on its nose: "Oh Lion of Courage— May courage be with me in all my endeavors. May I join the Warriors of Light and fight the Evil of Darkness and Ignorance to bring Illumination to the world." To the Platonic Lambda Λ Pepper Tree, I raise my hand in the wisdom mudra pose, direct it to the Lamp under the Λ and pray: "O Platonic Lambda Λ— Soul of the Universe— O remember, remember, remember, the Soul is the Origin of Things. It's the Soul that creates us, sustains us, and nourishes us. Blessings from the Soul! Blessings for All!" When I'm rushing for the bus, there may not be enough time to say these prayers, so I do them upon my return. While there's a Bus Stop by the Palm Tree at Montecito & Rengstorff, I walk to Jane Lane to pick up copies of Daily Post for friends. I always pause by 333 Rengstorff Ave since 3x3x3 = 27, where Dante identifies as "Cube of the Trinity" and associates Beatrice with that number in his Vita Nuova. There's also a sculpturesque diagonal Pepper Tree there that's quite admirable. Directly across the street is the most beautiful house on this block. When I photographed the Bamboo Trees at the entrance, the proprietor Deboral Taboloff greeted me. She placed them there as the Sentinels of her house. Deborah is a landscape designer and invites me to visit her backyard. There's a lovely fountain-pool near the entrance and a beautiful mural on her house. She granted me permission to take a photo. She also runs a jazz concert each summer in her backyard that seats 45 people. She'll send me
an invitation, and I promised to send her my "Bamboos for Blessing" poem (Notes).
