Tom Cruise stars in
Mission Impossible: Fallout

Preface: Saw three good movies in four days. The first was Since You Went Away (1944) at the Stanford Theatre in Palo Alto (Thursday, August 9, 2018). The second was Remember the Titans (2000) at the Mountain View Senior Center (Friday, August 10). The third was Mission Impossible: Fallout (2018) at Cinelux Almaden Café and Lounge Theatre in San Jose (Sunday, August 12).
After Krause Center closed at 5 pm (8/9), Jack dropped me off at El Camino Real & Showers Drive where I got the 5:30 pm Bus #522 to Palo Alto Train Station. Stanford Theatre opens 7 pm (half-hour before movie starts). Went to Music on the Plaza (Emerson Street) where Stealin' Chicago band was playing. Took photo of a "Mountain" mural opposite Mac's Smoke & Newspaper Shop. Got a free metal mug for McRoskey Pillow drawing. Since You Went Away was a long movie of almost three hours. Need to walk home as last Bus #40 is 10:20 pm when the movie ended. Caught 10:28 pm Bus #22 at Palo Alto Train Depot, and took a 40-minutes walk home from Rengstorff Ave. Foothill College closed on Friday, August 10 without electricity. So I went to the Mountain View Senior Center. Had not gone there in June, July, August, until now. The movie shown at 1 pm was "Remember the Titans" (2000) starring Denzel Washington. Since I enjoyed his acting in "Equalizer 2" seen with Al Guzman (July 29), I decided to see this film— a true story of black coach Herman Boone (Denzel Washington), blending T.C. Williams High School football team in Alexandria, VA (1971) to a perfect undefeated 13-0 season. Took photos of the Rock Garden at Senior Center. Walked across Rengstorff Park after the movie, and a black squirrel followed me. Unfortunately, I didn't have my usual portion of nuts and seeds to feed him. Al Guzman picked me up on Sunday, August 12, at 7:40 am, and went to HomeTown Buffet for breakfast at 8:11 am. Karen Kao joined us at 10 am. We went to Cinelux Almaden Theatre to see Mission Impossible: Fallout at 11:45 am. Tom Cruise's endless stunts— jumping through a window, across buildings, climbing a vertical rocky mountain, and unto a flying helicopter were breathtaking. We all gave the movie a "10".
