Preface: My neighbor Don Richards told me about the free trip to
Filoli Gardens
on February 21, 2019 with free lunch, arranged by Paulson Park management. We went to
Human Resource Center to sign up, and it was already filled up. We signed our names on
the waiting list, and luckily got included with the 53 tenants for the trip.
We had lunch from 1:15-1:50 pm with veggie sandwich & salad. Before lunch,
I toured the Filoli Gardens, and took 40 photos. Flowers in the Rose Garden
had not bloomed yet, so linked to Marilyn Monroe Rose and
Simplicity Rose
when they blossomed. After lunch, visited the Filoli Historic House with Don, and took 56 photos.
Checked out 3 books at Los Altos Library on December 14—
Filoli (1980),
Gardens at Filoli (1994),
and Filoli (2017).
These books
were helpful in identifying photos taken of rooms, trees, & flowers
at Filoli Gardens on February 21 visit.
